Andrew Pairman was educated at Knox College, Meadowbrook High School, University of the West Indies and Nova South Eastern University in Florida, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and Management (Hons) as well as a Masters in Business Administration.
In 1992 Andrew founded Anbell Agencies Limited and thereafter Anbell Telecommunications Limited, Anbell Media Ltd. and Anbell Foundation Limited (Not for Profit). Together the four entities provide solutions for the many communication challenges which face large corporate entities, small or medium- sized enterprises, typical households, as well as the “new age” home office.
In 2009, Intelligent Multimedia Limited was created to focus on the DOOH (Digital Out Of Home) Advertising Market which is expected to be the new area of significant growth in the advertising sector. That year, Andrew became one of only three individuals in the Caribbean to be certified a Digital Signage Certified Expert (DSCE).
More recently, a Business Trade Exchange, Anbell Trade Exchange Ltd. was formed to help businesses leverage their excess capacity within the membership grouping to save costs and build their business. This company serves as a third party to coordinate barter transactions between members by providing the ‘banking platform’ that facilitates the exchange of goods and services without cash.
Andrew is committed to the development of young entrepreneurs and served as the first President of Young Entrepreneurs Association of Jamaica, a part of the Jamaica Employers Federation (JEF). The association seeks to increase the survival rate of young and youth owned businesses. In addition to the boards of the Anbell Group, he serves on the Board of National Commercial Bank Foundation, the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), and Ken Casa Development Company. With respect to NCB, he chairs the Strategic Development committee and serves as a mentor to a number of SME’s that are eager to become more efficient and competitive.
Andrew was nominated for the Jamaica Observer Business Leader Award in 2007 and in 2012 as was recognized as one of Jamaica Gleaner’s/PSOJs’ “50 Under Fifty’ Business Leaders shaping Jamaica’s future.
A committed husband and father, Andrew is married to wife Paula and has three children, William, Alicia and Adam.
